In September 2015 I joined Croscon Engineering, a New York based software engineering consultancy, a company that I found while searching for remote opportunities using the Salt Stack configuration management system. In the time I've been there, it has been an amazing opportunity where I have been able to work with a wide variety of technology, a plethora of different clients on all sorts of different projects, and most importantly to work with really smart people and to learn. Unfortunately the company has decieded to move in a different direction, a direction that no longer requires my position. I am thankful for the opportunity and I wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
So, now what? A very excellent question. As I take some time to figure out what I want to do next, I have some initial ideas. I would love for an opportunity to help build something new & exciting. Something I can, at the end of the day, point to and say "I did that!". Most of professionl experience has been around DevOps concepts as of late. But I also have a fair amount of experience building communities, organizing conferences, evangalizing projects and generally connecting like minded people from 14 years of being on the team that organized SCALE. Something combining all these skills would be a blast, especially in the Open Space space.
For now, I have some personal projects to keep me busy while I search for the next adventure. If anyone hears or sees anything that they would fit me and where I would be a good fit, I'd definitely appreciate a ping.
